The Boston Poetry Marathon
A Summer Poetry Tradition in Boston Since 1998
The Boston Poetry Marathon is a poetry reading festival in which 100+ poets read their work, each for some designated short time. The festival has occurred for over 20 years (with a few breaks here and there). Readers come from far away or just down the street. The festival is open to the public. The event is free but donations are welcome and appreciated.

Friday night is online only.
Saturday and Sunday is in-person at the Community Church of Boston in Copley Square.
WE CANNOT WAIT TO SEE YOU!!!
We are so happy to announce that the Boston Poetry Marathon will be in-person this year! But we learned a good lesson from 2020 and 2021 — online poetry readings are great, too! So the 2022 Boston Poetry Marathon will be a hybrid event! Friday night will be online only. Saturday and Sunday will be a face-to-face event at our 2019 venue, the Community Church of Boston. This way, we can have the best of both options.
We plan to broadcast the entire weekend to our YouTube and Facebook channels, as well!
Further details are available under the “2022” tab!
The Organizers are hard at work, planning out our first in-person event since 2019. We look forward to seeing you face-to-face!
