Boston Poetry Marathon – Online for 2021

Boston Poetry Marathon 2021 – Online, Aug 5, 6 & 7

Boston Poetry Marathon 2021 will be held on Thursday, August 5; Friday, August 6; and Saturday, August 7. We will join together for our longstanding BPM weekend.  (This year marks twenty-three years since the first Boston Poetry Marathon!)

BPM2021 Tentative Schedule

The tentative schedule is now posted. We have almost 150 poets in our line up this year, which may well be a Boston Poetry Marathon record! THANK YOU to all our participants for signing-up for this all-volunteer effort. Click here to view the tentative schedule.

Fundraiser

As in 2020, we will hold our event as a fundraiser for outside organizations. We will continue our dedication to the BLM movement, with proceeds going towards the Urban League of Eastern Massachusetts (ULEM) and SistaFire RI.  Additionally, as a response to the burgeoning  #StopAAPIHate/#StopAsianHate movement, we will donate proceeds to the Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center (BCNC)

Please visit our GoFundMe page to make a donation of $10 or more to the 2021 fundraiser: https://www.gofundme.com/f/boston-poetry-marathon-2021-fundraiser

150 Poets!

Though we miss seeing everyone face to face, our community continues to thrive online. One of the benefits of staying remote is that more people can participate. Right now we have almost ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY poets scheduled to read. We believe that’s a record!

Thank you once again to everyone for your continued support of this beloved event.

Much love,

The Boston Poetry Marathon 2021 Organizing Team:
